Aoife started her healthcare career as a chartered physiotherapist in the HSE working across several acute and community services. She holds a BSc (hons) in Physiotherapy and an MSc in Sports Medicine from Trinity College Dublin and has over two decades of professional physiotherapy and exercise physiology clinical experience in physical rehabilitation, lifestyle medicine and chronic condition management. Her professional interests focus on patient activation and engaging patients with evidence-based therapy, lifestyle medicine, exercise and physical activity programmes and she lectures on the Adapted Physical Activity Programme at the Munster Technological University (MTU) in Tralee, Co. Kerry.
In 2011, Aoife established Salaso Health Solutions, an award-winning health technology company, which has developed a smart therapy engagement platform to advance digital transformation in the healthcare industry. Salaso’s digital healthcare platform helps all types of clinical teams in the transition to remote and hybrid care. The company is a global leader in digital therapy and virtual rehabilitation and its’ platform is used to support existing and new care delivery models for remote rehabilitation, care at home and effective population health management.
