Neil is the Chief Clinical Information Office at Western Health and Social Care Trust, the largest hospital in Northern Ireland outside Belfast. He is a Consultant Physician within the NHS in Endocrinology and Diabetes and Clinical Lead for his speciality, with a particular interest in improving the quality of life of people living with diabetes using technological solutions. Neil is deeply interested in how medical informatics can make care delivery safer and more efficient and has chaired the regional steering group for the Northern Ireland Electronic Care Record since 2020.
