Dennis is a specialist in anaesthesiology, who moved to health IT 20 years ago. He holds a PhD in Medicine and certificates in preclinical emergency medicine and medical informatics. At Dedalus, his main area of work has been electronic medical records, as a product manager, and also as the head of product management for Europe’s leading EMR, ORBIS for many years. In his current role as the Chief Medical Officer of Dedalus, he further pursues the goal to turn EMRs into clinical tools that really simplify and enhance the clinical end user’s life. He has put a strong focus on clinical UX and structured standard terminology adoption, challenging and rethinking the established approach of traditional EMRs to managing clinical data, with a clear vision of the target future state.
His expertise in patient safety and knowledge of information technology provide the indispensable foundation for his work.
