Angela joined Cancer Trials Ireland in 2023 as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in June 2025.
She has 21 years of experience in healthcare, initially working as a Research Radiation Therapist before moving to a senior management position in radiotherapy in 2011, and on to Operations Management in 2014. Angela worked with the St. Luke’s Radiation Oncology Network, the NCCP, and with Tallaght University Hospital (TUH) where she managed the Peri-Operative Directorate prior to becoming TUH’s COO.
Angela is passionate about bringing new cancer clinical trials to Ireland, working with investigators, international collaborative groups, and pharmaceutical companies to open more trials and increase patient access to the newest treatments available. She has represented Cancer Trials Ireland at national and international conferences.
She has a BSc Hons from Trinity College, is an MBA graduate from the University of Cumbria, and has a Diploma in Finance from University College Dublin.
