Richard was appointed Director General, Chief Digital and Information Officer in April 2023.
He has extensive experience in leading major digital transformation projects in retail and the public sector. He was previously Chief Information Officer at Boots & No.7 Beauty Company and held roles at Leeds NHS Trust, eHealth Ireland, and the National Institute for Health Research.
The Director General, Chief Digital and Information Officer is accountable for the strategy, maintenance, integrity, value for money and continuous improvement of Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) information technology (IT) services and systems.
