Conor has over 30 years experience as a GP. He has always had an interest in how technology can assist both doctors and patients in the delivery of better health care, and since 2011 has worked for the GPIT (General Practice Information Technology) of the Irish College of GPs, supported by Dept of Health and HSE. The initial aim of GPIT was the computerisation of general practice which has been largely successful. More recently our focus has been on promoting and developing the use of technology in general practice, including interoperability with other health service information systems, and most recently the potential value of artificial intelligence.
